No. All majors welcome!

Do I need previous radio broadcasting experience?

No. Wake Radio holds its own training sessions required by all newcomers.

What is the intern/training process like to become a radio DJ?

Wake Radio Executive Staff will train you to become proficient in using our broadcasting equipment and to learn the professional on-air codes and ethics of our station. You will then be tested on the material before becoming an official Wake Radio DJ. No coffee-runs, we promise.

Can I be a part of Wake Radio but not have my own show or be a radio DJ?

Yes! As a student organization, Wake Radio services many other programs including music journalism, public relations, fundraising, and more. We are always looking for those who share our love of music to join us.

How do I sign up?

Wake Radio will be accessible at many student organization meet and greets in the beginning of the semester. Find us then to get more information. Wake Radio staff also meets every Sunday at 7:00 PM in Benson’s Pugh Auditorium.
